£14,000, 89450 miles, MOT until Jan 2023.
With it's presence on the streets throughout the late 80's and early 90's, the Renault 5 GT Turbo was the hot hatch to be seen in! With its small 1.4l turbo charged engine and lightweight bodywork, it went like stink!
Although not noted for being the most reliable motor on the planet, it was fast, it was fun, and every young lads dream.
Maybe now is the time to own this total dose of nostalgia?
This model boasts no engine modifications with the added feature of a complete heatshield. With a new battery fitted in May 2021 and new spark plugs in Feb 2022, it zips in to life on the first turn of the key.
It has no bodywork modifications, retaining all of its original body panels , which is unusual considering boots, bonnets and even doors have been replaced on many others, but that's not the case here!
Still in its original Tungsten grey, it is showing signs of wear, small rust bubbling in the usual places, window sills and bonnet, but nothing a little bit of treatment couldn't fix to keep it looking great.
Complete with a brand new set of headlights, shipped from france and fitted just last summer.
Famed for it's bucket seats (which weren't made for my butt ha ha!), it maintains the original Renault cloth - clean, taut and damage free.
The dash is very smart with all original features that operate in true Renault fashion. The pedals are original, the steering wheel too, as are all sticks, dials and buttons. Carpets are clean and complete, as is the parcel shelf.
Oil pressure holds well, gauges operate as they should. A new instrument cluster was fitted in 2021.
This is an excellent example of the popular 80's/90's hot hatch and it's ready to drive!
